Most of the hot spots on dog are found in the inflamed skin areas that are caused by the frantic licking of the dog and also chewing at certain areas. Biting at its own skin makes an excruciatingly sticky and painful skin lesion that begins with small spots that often gets bigger in size making the dog feel traumatic to the areas and makes large patches of the inflamed skin and flesh that are exposed. Hot spots can be found in an area that are questioned to be feels warm and moist as its scarlet tinge to to its skin, and in a more terrible case where dogs has been very traumatic, there will be blood running on spot which means infection has taken a hold on it.
For giving the right treatment of these skin allergies, it is important for you to do something about the symptoms and then try to isolate and give treatment to the cause of the problem orderly for recurrence prevention. When the dogs are being treated at home, it might be important to restrain the dog because it is very painful if the dog hot spots are touched. One of the simplest ways to reduce inflammation is by applying cool compress. Tea bags also would work well to heal soothing area.
